Northshore Local Accepted to Del Close Marathon

Northshore Local has been fortunate enough to be accepted into the 11th Annual Del Close Marathon.

What's the Del Close Marathon you ask? Well...

.

"Del Close was the driving force behind improvisational comedy in Chicago for over 30 years influencing Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Mike Myers, John Belushi, Chris Farley and the Upright Citizens Brigade to name a few. After Del's passing in 1999, the UCB started the Del Close Marathon to celebrate their mentor and keep alive his name and teachings for future generations.

"Over 150 Shows Over 1 Weekend! From Friday afternoon August 14 to after midnight on Sunday August 16, there will be improv non-stop at the UCB Theatre. Groups from New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington DC, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Phoenix, Austin, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Ontario, St. Louis, Toronto, and more, will perform on one of three stages." from here

Northshore Does the 40 Hour Improv Marathon! 3am this Saturday Morning!

The Hideout Theater is hosting a 40-Hour Improv Marathon is coming up THIS WEEKEND!

"June 26 through 28 the Hideout is producing a 40-hour improv marathon and fund raiser to generate much-needed capital and public awareness.

At 5:00pm on Friday, June 26, eight marathon improvisers will take the stage and hold it until 9:00am on Sunday, June 28, performing 40 straight hours of improvisational theater and comedy without sleep or respite. Each hour of the marathon will be a separate show, costing $5 for audience members and showcasing classic Hideout formats, upcoming Hideout shows, random formats never to be seen again, and guest troupes and players from Austin's impossibly big improv community" -The Hideout

Northshore Local's helpin' them out by playin' the 3AM slot on Saturday, June 27th. So come show your support for those crazy marathon improvisors and see us too!
